Museum Passes Available to KFL Patrons

For open/closed status, hours, or other museum-specific information, please contact the museums or parks you plan to visit or check out the websites provided below. Due to COVID-19 safety measures, museums may be closed or operating at limited capacity. Please check with the organization before visiting.

KFL offers patrons passes to several museums, courtesy of the Friends of the Kennebunk Free Library. For more information about our passes and to reserve them, please e-mail us or call the library at (207) 985-2173.


Brick Store Museum

  • 2 passes issued per day.
  • 2 adults and 4 children (up to age 16) allowed per pass.
  • Pass must be used on the date specified.

Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine

  • Pass entitles holder to a 50% discount on admission for up to four (4) people.
  • Children under the age of 18 months are admitted FREE.
  • Redeem your pass at the museum’s main desk.
  • Pass must be used on the date specified.
  • Only one KFL pass will be issued per day.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

  • 1 pass per day
  • Valid from May to October
  • Pass can be used by 1 family (2 adults with children)

Maine State Park Passes

The Library hopes that by providing park passes, our patrons will be more able to enjoy the great state of Maine!

  • KFL offers patrons two free day-use passes to the state parks in Maine.
  • Each pass admits a driver and up to 16 occupants.
  • A pass may be checked out for up to three days.
  • Passes cannot be reserved. (However, we will hold the pass for a couple of hours so that the patron may pick it up.)
  • Pass cannot be used toward camping in Maine State Park campgrounds.
  • Pass is not accepted at Baxter State Park, Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Penobscot River Corridor, Penobscot Narrows Observatory, Maine Wildlife Park, Peacock Beach, Scarborough Beach and Acadia National Park.

  • Pass allows up to four people to visit the museum.

Portland Museum of Art

  • Free entry for two adults.
  • Visitors age 21 and under are admitted FREE of charge.
  • Only one KFL pass will be issued per day.
  • Redeem pass at the museum’s main desk.
  • Pass must be used on the date specified.

Southworth Planetarium

  • Pass enables bearer and up to five guests to attend any planetarium show free of charge.
  • One pass issued per day.
  • You do not need to attend a show on the same day on which the pass was issued to you.

Seashore Trolley Museum

  • Pass entitles the bearer and immediate family (2 adults and 3 children) to 50% off admission and rides upon surrender at the entrance.
  • Only one pass issued per day.
  • Pass is not valid for special museum events.
  • Pass must be used on the date specified.

Strawbery Banke

  • 2 cards issued per day
  • Card can be used for one family (2 adults and children 17 and under)
  • Card can be used for regular admission to the museum and admission to signature events (Baby Animals, Ghosts on the Banke, & Candlelight Stroll).
