Thank you Dave Roche for the new course map.

Slight Change to Route
Our Road Race has been consistently growing over the years and with that comes necessary changes.  This year Kennebunk Free Library worked with the Kennebunk Police Department to address safety improvements, namely a slight change to the course.

Why the change?  With increased racer participation and the addition of chip timing the final chute requires a much larger area which has pushed racers further into still-active Main Street.  To accommodate this the Finish Line has been moved back by about 400' onto Dane Street from its previous spot on Main which will in turn push the Start Line from Dane Street onto Park Street by the same distance.  No other changes to the course were made.  Once finished (in the parking lot across from Christ Church), racers can then proceed directly ahead to the crosswalk at Dane and Main to arrive back at the Library.

KFL and KPD are asking participants to please gather on Parson's Field to allow traffic to flow as normally as possible up to the start of the race.  In the minutes before the race starts you will be invited to the Start Line on Park Street.

While racing, please be mindful of the participants and cars around you.  Walkers, as much as possible, please use sidewalks and overall.  Everyone is asked to stay to the right.  Walkers, please yield to runners.  Road Race volunteers on the course can be identified by yellow vests, please follow their direction at intersections.  July 5, 2018.

The 5K (3.106 miles) race wends its way through downtown Kennebunk and nearby neighborhoods. There are maps available to take with you, volunteers are on the course to guide you, two water stops to quench your thirst and bicycle support with cell phones on the course.
