Ranger's Apprentice Book Group
Grades 6 & Up
November 5th @ 3:30 PM A book discussion group based on The Ruins of Gorlan, the first book in the Rangerís Apprentice series, by John Flanagan will take place at the Kennebunk Free Library on November 5th at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades 6 and up are welcome to attend. In this engaging, fast-paced story fifteen-year-old Will is chosen as a Rangerís apprentice and becomes trained in battle to help defend the kingdom. Book group will include trivia, an activity, and snack. The library will have extra copies of the books to borrow ahead of time available in the childrenís room. Teen Advisory Group
Grades 6 & up
Members of the Teen Advisory Group recommend books and movies for the teen collection, discuss current trends in technology, and help plan fun and exciting teen programs. Teen Advisory Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month during the school year at 3:30 p.m.
The Teen Advisory Group is currently accepting new members. If interested in becoming a member please call 985-2173 x5 or click here. Students in high school receive community service credit for participation in the Teen Advisory Group.
Teen Movie Night
Teen Movie Night is the first Tuesday of every month during the school year from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The movies shown at Teen Movie Night are rated PG or PG-13. Free pizza is served. Due to copyright restrictions we cannot advertise the name of the movie. Please call the library at 985-2173 x5 for more information about the film.
Anime Club includes practice drawing in the anime style, Asian inspired crafts, and manga and anime film discussion. Anime Club meets on alternate Thursdays during the school year at 3:30 p.m. Fall schedule: September 18, October 2, October 16, October 30, November 13, & December 11.
Gaming at the Library
Gaming at the Library is a weekly drop in program for Wii electronic games including Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Wii Sports Resort. Gaming at the Library meets every Friday at 3:00 p.m. and is for students in grades 6-12. If unfamiliar with the games played newcomers are provided instruction from another member in the group.
Tween Book Group

This craft project involves wrapping embroidery hoops with satin ribbons and stringing fishing line with snowflakes made from doilies and glitter card stock. Pre-registration is required by calling 985-2173 x5 or emailing here.
