Harry Potter Predictions!!!

** Congratulations to Hufflepuff for winning the trivia contest!  **

On July 18, 2007, 27 members of the KFL community, ages 8-48, met and discussed the upcoming release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  All of us had read all six books in the series so far.

Our Predictions!!

for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Trust Snape??  9 believe he is trustworthy; 17 believe he is evil.

Hogwarts??  5 believe Harry will return to school; 10 believe he won't.

Dumbledore??  9 believe he will be back; 8 believe he really is gone.

Deaths??  15 believe Voldemort will die; 6 believe Harry will die; 3 believe both will die.

Other Deaths??  Speculation ran rampant on who else would die in this final installment.  Possibilities included: Ginny, Neville, Hagrid, Ron, Hermione, Tonks, Mad Eye Moody, Kreacher, Snape, Lupin, Professor McGonagall, Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Dolores Umbridge, Bellatrix Lestrange, Charlie Weasley, Peter Pettigrew aka Wormtail, Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley, Dudley, Percy, Bill Weasley, Rufus Scrimgeour, Dobby, Hedwig, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Grawp and lots of Muggles.  The suggested demise of Dolores Umbridge and Bellatrix Lestrange was met with loud applause and cheering!!

Horcruxes??  We predict that Harry will find and destroy all of the horcruxes.  Some possible horcruxes:  Whomping Willow, Marauder's Map, Harry himself, Rowena Ravenclaw's wand, Helga Hufflepuff's wand, Mirror of Erised,

Locket??  Speculation abounds...  Some think the locket wasn't real; or Kreacher has it; or it's hidden in the Black home, under the picture of Mrs. Black.  Some think Harry will use Time Turners to retrieve or destroy the locket.  One suggestion is that the initials, R.A.B. refer to Regulus Black, that Regulus faked his own death, gave the locket to Kreacher, and now is in hiding waiting for the appropriate time to return.

Time Turners??  There was a lot of speculation, or hope, that the Time Turners would be used to save Dumbledore, Sirius, even Harry's parents or the Sorcerer's Stone.  However, some believe that all of the Time Turners were destroyed during the fight at the Ministry of Magic.

Love??  Harry and Ginny will get married; Ron and Hermione will get married; Snape loved Lily

Our theories:    

The wandmaker, Ollivander, has been kidnapped by Voldemort, and forced to make a new wand for him. We have already seen what happens when Voldemort's and Harry's wands connect, and Voldemort wants to be prepared to defeat Harry.

Mundungus sold the locket...

Some think that Harry is related to Godric Gryffindor...

Peter Pettigrew will help Harry in some way, because they made a Wizard's Bond when Harry saved his life in Prisoner of Azkaban.

Harry and Draco must duel!!

When Voldemort gets killed, everyone he killed comes back to life.

Draco is good.

Viktor Krum comes into the story again.

Thestrals come into the story again, but not at school.

Professor Quirrell comes back into the story.

Harry will find a Time Turner, and go back and pretend to be Snape.

Ollivander has either Ravenclaw's or Hufflepuff's wand.

Because of the danger to them, Ron, Luna, Harry, Neville, Ginny and Hermione join the Order.

Buckbeak kills Draco.  Buckbeak becomes Harry's steed.

Harry's parents come back to life.

Dumbledore faked his death.

Snape used a nonverbal spell not the killing curse.  Dumbledore used his own spell to keep himself from falling.

Harry will take Dumbledore's place as Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Harry will become Minister of Magic.

Harry will become an Auror.

Harry will wake up and it's all been a dream.
