KFL
Announces the Addition of Ancestry.com to Their Genealogy Resources
We are thrilled to announce that beginning July
1st, patrons will have full, free, in-house access to the world’s largest
genealogy website, Ancestry.com. Used by
both amateur and professional genealogists, this website gives access to over
4,000 databases and five billion names. The site is useful for beginning
researchers as well as for advanced researchers, as it contains over 28,000
national and international title listings. Along with the Library’s designation
as a Family Search Center and its own genealogy print resources, the KFL is
becoming one of the go-to places for genealogical research in the community.
This significant resource has been generously
donated to the KFL by Pam Eagleson, Library patron, former KFL Trustee, and
Certified Genealogistsm. “Genealogical research, a passion for many,
can become expensive….” states professional genealogist Eagleson. “Ancestry.com
is the leading subscription website for those conducting genealogical research.
I hope that many library patrons will benefit from this offering.”
This resource is available on July 1st,
from the Library's public computers. Who will you discover in your family tree?
For more information, please call the Library
